F.E.A.T.H.E.R. was first proposed by C.O.U.G.H. on March 5, 2011. It was soon approved of by a committee of unknown members and then construction on the buildings that were required began on April 25, 2011. F.E.A.T.H.E.R. first opened on September 29, 2011. The first shipment of animals, which came from sponsoring countries who sent four of each breed to start off with - two males and two females from different bloodlines to prevent inbreeding as much as humanly possible - on October 1, 2011. Ames was always meant to be a self-sufficient city. It was meant to produce its own food (livestock and produce). F.E.A.T.H.E.R. boasts greenhouses, farm land, livestock of all sorts and a conservation park (a zoo).
The impressive lands include a state of the art facility for milking dairy cows, state of the art veterinary equipment and other research equipment needed. Of course, it wouldn't be just any type of normal place for growing things. To go along with the regular livestock of horses, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits and cows, there was also a petting zoo and lakes that are temperature and salinity controlled for farming shrimp, oysters, clams, crabs and fresh water fish. It was the first kind of facility of its kind. No where else in the world can you walk onto a plot of land and everywhere you turn is an animal that isn't supposed to be living next door to the next animal that you see. Pigs don't live next to fresh water trout, the fresh water trout doesn't live next to shrimp who thrive in salt water, the shrimp generally don't live near rabbits and rabbits... Well they're just generally not living near scallops. But thrive they all do. Thanks to the power of being able to control the variables and regular maintenance to ensure safety of the animals. The conservation park/zoological garden, is pretty much the world's most complete zoo. Anything that can be alive and collected is in this zoo. There's birds, bears, cats, dogs, elephants, hippopotamuses, hyenas and so much more. All the birds are checked on a regular basis and they are never allowed out of the buildings.
Some suggested titles include any form of veterinary, environmental scientists, agricultural specialists, botanists, biologists, ecologist and geneticists.
